dark knight rises Dark Knight Rises Review Disappointing Conclusion
Villain of “The Dark Knight Rises” is a mask of anarchy named Bane (Tom Hardy), who terrorized Gotham City and bring in his regime of control. Many scenes in the film based on motifs from different comics which are extremely dark and disturbing. Bane, calls for anarchy and terror, the city is cut off from the outside world. Bane’s armed forces are raging through Gotham, as the assassin the premiere of the movie revolves around him. Parts of the population is apparently in solidarity in the fight against the rich.

It is an apocalyptic epic with clear references to the current financial and economic crisis. Batman (Christian Bale), a large part of the film itself must stand by helplessly. For really good turns to nothing.

A dark, ambivalent Batman is fighting desperately in an ever-expanding world of fear and uncertainty of moral depravity to the good, but at the same time he is seeking revenge against the ultimate crime that was committed against him as a child.

Chris Nolan often spectacularly staged action films are socially critical commentary on the zeitgeist of post-11 September 2001 interpreted as terrorism, economic uncertainty, widening gulf between rich and poor, the ambiguity of good and evil, all the issues arising are portrait in the figure of the “Dark Knight” Batman and his colorful, often frenzied opponents such as the Joker and Bane.

In comparison to other superhero movies, action plays almost a secondary role – plot and character development is the main focus in the movie. This is done by creating a dramatic situation from the events of the last two-thirds film.

It is the characters of the Dark Knight Rises that strike us in the spell. Instead of artificially-looking people in spandex leggings and ski-mask, Catwoman, Bane and Co. have a very organic and alive presence. Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer, Inception) shine here as the ambitious youngster police.

Particular attention should certainly be paid here to Batman counterparts Bane (Tom Hardy, Warrior, Inception) who has to follow up the late Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain, The Cabinet of Doctor Parnassus) performance as the Joker.

The result is a smart and physically very dangerous adversary. Since Bane at any time, is wearing a mask that covers the mouth and a large part of the face, there’s not very much space for theatrical expression. Nevertheless, he embodies a complex enemy with sufficient depth, even though he probably could not scrape on the cult status of the Joker.

Christian Bale (The Fighter, American Psycho) is on screen for most of the time as a broken hero on the path of self-discovery. Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada, Get Smart) as Catwoman makes not only in the truest sense of the word “good character” but breathes life into the role as femme fatale with the right mix of vulnerability and wickedness of life.

Gordon-Levitt is the role of rookie cop with little experience is well scripted along with Marion Cotillard (Inception, La Vie en Rose), the wealthy philanthropist Miranda Tate fill their role almost perfectly.

The actual plot of the last part of the “Dark Knigt Rises” is very exciting and very entertaining. Christopher Nolan conjures a plot on the screen that seems to intend for the events to be able to bring the story to a round end. But, unfortunately, even such a talented director like Nolan are not immune to mistakes. Some characters like Selina Kyle and detective John Blake are still not totally explored by the end of the film, we learn only the bare minimum. The majority of certain plots remains in our imagination, as are the developments between the characters.

In addition, the arrangement of scenes, costumes worn by actors and action elements is not as entirely successful or smoothly as before. We hang between the events in part just a little too much in the air. In addition, some disturbing plot holes (keyword: bomb), and some forced plot twists regarding the big picture was a little underwhelming.

But when the final voltage swells and discharges into the visually stunning scenes, we are more than appeased. Nolan plays with the expectations of the audience – even if the enormous hype can never do justice – but he makes a successful end with the Dark Knight Rises to conclude the new Batman movie trilogy.

Dark Knight Rises Review : 3 out of 5 stars

The Dark Knight Rises is a fitting conclusion to an outstanding film series. Too bad though that it is the weakest of the three films. Although primarily only minor fault, a few missteps toward the end hurt the story. Nevertheless, The Dark Knight Rises is in our view a must watch for all those who are fans of the Batman movies.
