The Warrior 2011 Movie is an action drama story about MMA and will be released on September 9, 2011 by Lionsgate.
The Warrior Movie 2011 cast include Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton.
Warrior Movie Review
The story revolve around former boxer, Paddy Conlon (played by Nick Nolte), who has deep alcoholism problem which affect his family relations. Paddy reunite with his youngest son Tom ( played by Tom Hardy), who has left the US Marine.
Paddy decide to trains Tom to compete in a MMA (mixed martial arts) tournament – this would lead him onto a collision course with his older brother Brendan ( played by Joel Edgerton), who works as a high school physics teacher and is a former MMA competitor.
Now although I’m not a MMA fan, I have to say the Warrior Movie 2011 was a very nice treat, and the rest of audience at the screening seem to have the same buzz.
The Warrior 2011 film follows the two brothers and their families as they prepare to enter the world of MMA. Obviously like any fighting movie, we have the usual cliche of the down on his luck good guy character, played by Joel Edgerton against the fame and fortune seeking bad guy played by Tom Hardy.
As the backbone of the movie, Nick Nolte plays a reformed drunk of a father which led to the core story of family relationships and regrets, where the truth of how some matters cannot be undone even with forgiveness.

Obviously if you seen the trailer, you know there’s alot of fighting scenes, which are very well edited with exciting cameraworks. You can feel the MMA fights in the Warrior Film 2011 are painful and brutal.
Obviously there will be comparison to past fighting sports movies such as Rocky, The Wrestler and even the Fighter, and I think The Warrior stand up very nicely along these movies. The Warrior Movie cast all delivered on screen with solid acting and you can tell the physical work that the two lead fighters did in looking the part.
However there are negatives for the Warrior Movie 2011 Review, the structure of the story could have been tighter and a few of the character lack depth. For example Jennifer Morrison was under utilize in her role while Nick was seemingly forgotten in the last part of the film.
The main grip would be that despite being a different genre of fighting, the Warrior 2011 Movie still bring the usual cliched ending, and i thought the ending should have been different.
Overall, this Warrior 2011 movie is a very recommended film, and you should check it out even if you usually don’t watch action or fighting movies. It will be a nice surprise for new fans of the genre.
